Viva la Verve!

Happy Friday! There's a new Friday challenge in town! Starting today, the oh-so talented Amber Hight is heading up a twisted sketch challenge in our Verve SCS forum each week. Every Friday she'll be adding a new Viva la Verve sketch challenge with a twist of using something with the sketch. Come play along! Each month we'll choose a random participant from all of that month's entries to receive the next Verve release for FREE! Woohooo! Verve stamps are not required to participate, but if you've got 'em, why not flaunt 'em? ;)

Here's the challenge thread with the sketch and all the details for this week's challenge. If you upload to SCS, please use keyword VLVJAN01. I hope you find some time to play along. Amber always has the coolest layouts on her cards, and I'm so excited for her fun sketches! This week's sketch has a twist of hardware, so I pulled out my Styled Vanilla Hodgepodge and some samples of the new SU! Raspberry Tart paper (Thanks Lisa!).

I started by stamping the flower from Grateful Elegance in Purely Pomegranate and then punching out with a 1.25" circle punch. I matted with Kiwi Kiss and a Purely Pomegranate scallop circle punch. I then stamped another flower, colored with Copics and cut out to pop up over the previously stamped flower. I added some Stardust Stickles to the petals and a little pink rhinestone bling to the flower center. Next I added some Petal Pink Liquid Pearls to each of the scallops and set aside to dry. Each piece of the Raspberry Tart DSP is matted on Purely Pomegranate, and then I added some of the styled silver brads to the top horizontal panel, sprucing them up with a little bling in the center of each brad. The sentiment comes from the Black Tie Birdies set and is stamped in Purely Pomegranate and then framed with vanilla hardware.

So excited about these challenges. I have a question though in regards to MOJO MONDAY sketches and the blog. Can I post a picture of the sketches on my blog if I don't hotlink? I'm new to all the mojo's and wasn't sure. So, I'm asking for permission.

Loved this sketch! I am more a scrapbooker than a stamper, so I'm not really an SCS kind of girl, but figured I'd show you my creation!
