Almost a One Layer Wonder

I can't believe how fast the days are going! Can it really be almost Christmas? How come my pile of Christmas cards is still sitting on my craft desk awaiting addressing instead of in the homes they're meant to go to?

Well, since time is of the essence now, here's a super simple little card I made with Ornamental Christmas. I stamped the sentiment and swirled ornament directly on a white card base, then ran a piece of Marcella K red glitter paper (from Target) through my Cuttlebug with one of the Classic Circle Nestabilities the set coordinates with, then punched a Martha Stewart snowflake punch through the center of the circle and pasted over the stamped ornament. The top little fringe is some black cardstock I used the SU! scallop edge punch on.

And not to waste anything, I used the punched out snowflake to accent the sentiment on the inside of the card. The glitter paper dresses the card up enough that no other embellishments are needed, and keeps the card flat and inexpensive to mail! Bonus! :)

Hope you have a fabulous day in all your holiday preparations!

I love one layer cards! They're such a challenge! Even more than multilayer ones. And your only layer doesn't count. It's almost embellishment.
