Mojo Monday Week #45 - Mojo Madness

It's the first Monday in JULY, and that means it's time for another Mojo Madness Contest! This week's sketch is kind of simple and designed for use with some of your longer stamps. For my sample card I pulled out Floral Whimsy. The color combination was actually inspired by the floor tiles at our local emergency room. My FIL was rushed to the ER on the 4th of July, and while we were waiting to find out he was okay I did a bit of staring at the floor tiles. They were a pretty eggplant, saffron and a soft teal color. They looked so pretty together I tucked them away in my brain for future use. Since taken with teal was just a bit too harsh of a color, I decided to go with Soft Sky instead. I started by stamping the Floral Whimsy flower bunch in Adirondack Pitch Black and then stamping the tiny little blossoms all over the bottom of the panel for a floor of flowers. Next I colored everything in with Copic markers and sponged the edges with So Saffron. The butterfly was stamped, colored with Copics and cut out to live on top of one of my mistakes.

The scallop layer is made from a bit of the BasicGrey Euphoria papers. I used a corner rounder for the scallops and then layered a strip of black behind the top edge and pierced a row of piercings across the top. The sentiment is a label that was cut and embossed with my Nestabilities. I used a copic marker to color right up to the embossed part, to give the appearance of a mat. I stamped the you brighten my day sentiment from Thoughtful Florals inside and added a little flower from Floral Whimsy to fill in the space. The back layer is from the Soft Sky prints pack. To finish off I added some stardust stickles accents and then glued some mini purple rhinestones to the center of each scallop. Okay, hope everyone has a great week!
