Every Little Thing

Today's card is a preview of 2 of the new Verve Visual sets releasing on January 10. If you haven't noticed, I really love music lyrics. From the time I was very small I was always writing poems and song lyrics. I think there's nothing more magical than a true songwriter sitting down at the piano or with a guitar and singing the songs of their heart. It's moving in a way that no amount of electric guitar and manufactured sound can reproduce. (Although, I enjoy my fair share of electric guitar, too!) Anyway, the sentiment on today's card is from one of those little songs that gets stuck in your head and there's no getting it out. I wanted to have a flirty little phrase I could use to give hubby "just because" cards and I just couldn't get this sentiment out of my head when I designed the set.

About the card...
So today's card is for Mr. Shadowcatcher, and thus is a little simpler than my normal style. I tried not to "foof" it up too much, although a little bit of Stardust Stickles just "hopped" onto the card all by itself - I have absolutely no idea how that happened! LOL ;) The sentiment is from the Wild Thing set and the swirly star flourish is from the Seeing Stars set. (The release is less than a week away, peeps! Are you excited?) I stamped the two images on white cardstock with Night of Navy ink and then stamped another image of the star flourish in Crimson Red Versafine ink and cut out just the star and layered it over the image for a little pop of color, with a dab of Stardust Stickles sparkle. All the mats are Night of Navy cardstock and the fabulous paper is from the Daisy Bucket Designs Rock Star Collection.

Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Wild Thing, Seeing Stars (Verve Visual)
Ink: Night of Navy (SU!), Crimson Red (Versafine)
Paper: Rock Star (Daisy Bucket Designs), Night of Navy (SU!)
Accessories: Stardust Stickles

Okay, that's it for today. I have such a long list of things to do, and am still trying to finalize the stamp designs for February, so it's back to my design cave for me. Be sure and check out the Verve Visual Blog for another sneak peek of the new sets.

That is too cool!!! What a great sentiment. And as predicted - it is now stuck in my head. But, there are worse things to have stuck in your head, really! Can't wait for the new releases!!! I also love sentiments with song lyrics (bought an entire CTMH set just to get a Paul Simon sentiment!) so please keep that up! :-)
