Mojo Squared

Here's the first card I made with this week's Mojo Monday sketch. Kind of sad that the first chance I have to play with my own sketch is Thursday, but oh well! This will be another short post, as I have to go to the dreaded dentist for a cleaning today. I'm hoping that it will be a much easier visit than usual now that all the wisdom teeth are out of the way and there are 4 less teeth to try and clean!

I started by stamping the flower from Fancy Florals with Ancient Page, coloring with Prismacolors and Gamsol and then using my SAMJ (Stamp-a-majig) to line up and stamp the flower center. Next I took this piece and ran it through my Cuttlebug with one of the square folders to emboss the dotted frame. I then lightly went over each embossed dot with a prismacolor pencil and some gamsol. Next I punched this out with a Mega scallop square punch and layered on a black Giga scallop square punch. The patterned paper is from my scrap drawer (K & Company, I think) and is Cuttlebugged with the D'vine Swirls embossing folder and matted on black cardstock. The sentiment is from one of the stamps in Tagger's Dozen (SU!) and the flower is from Fancy Florals and colored the same way as the larger flower. I used a black glaze pen to add dots around the edges. I finished it off with a little Stardust Stickles on the flowers and each embossed dot. The finished card measures 4.25" square. Hope you like it! :)

like it? I love it! I made a card this weekend using your Mojo Monday sketch, but I haven't sent you the link yet. I'll try and get it to you today, or better yet, get it up on my blog!

Hugs girl!

OMG! my first chance to play with your sketch was last night and I used the same stamp set and the same COLORS too! Only...mine didn't look as good as yours so I decided to "scrap" it and try again tonight. I may have to email you a pic of my original one though, just for the comparison! TOO WEIRRD!

I like this a lot BTW.

I'm glad to see someone has their stamping mojo, cause I think I lost mine when school started. :( Your card is lovely. The colors are so pretty. I always enjoy seeing how you use the Cuttlebug folders.

I HATE going to the dentist. I just called today and made appointments for four of our 6 family members. Yuck. Hope it went well for you!
