I started by stamping the flower from Small Sayings in Buckaroo Blue on Sahara Sand. I then doodled a frame and some little markings with a Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write marker. Next I cut a square out of the middle of the Sahara Sand piece and sponged the inner and outer edges with Sahara Sand. I then stamped random circles and flowers from Maryse Carrier's Les Pointes in Buckaroo Blue, Sahara Sand and Chocolate Chip on a rounded square of Sahara Sand. I then colored (not so proficiently) them in with re-inkers and my aquapainter. Next I matted on Chocolate Chip cardstock and layered a square of transparency over the cut-out of my Sahara Sand frame. I used my Stamp-a-majig to line up and stamp one of the flowers and circles with Timber Brown Stazon on the transparency. I also stamped the A Muse Life's Simple Pleasures with Brown Stazon. I finished up the card by gluing everything together, adding Diamond Stickles to the centers of the flowers and adding a brown bow to the top. The card base is 4.25" x 4.25 on Buckaroo Blue cardstock.
Lila H. made two absolutely gorgeous cards from this piece. I love them both. I'm so envious of her Fancy Pants stamps that look perfect on these cards. I actually went to Archiver's to get those stamps, had them in hand and then found something I thought I liked better. I guess that just means we'll have to get together again soon and stamp! Check out Lila's Creative Corner for the skinny (and some close-ups) on these cards. Definitely worth a look-see!
The next card is from Paula of Paula Ponders. It's such a fun and happy card! I really think I NEED to get that Doodle This set. I really like the colors Paula used... Bordering blue, blush blossom, barely banana and a little creamy caramel. I think I might have to try a card with those colors later on this week.
The third card submitted to me was from Jennifer R. I love all the circles and patterns she used. I almost pulled out my Little Pieces when I was doing my card, too. Great minds think alike, right? :) I really like the brown primas she used too - I can never seem to find brown ones.
Thanks for doing my challenge, girls! I just love seeing everyone's creations.
