Hello Kitty!

I love all things Hello Kitty! I remember getting this Hello Kitty pen set when I was 5 that I used until there was no ink left! Pink, red, black, purple and blue - I think it's where my love of colors began. Anyways, every time I see something Hello Kitty, I have to pick it up and touch it and remind myself that I'm an adult now and I really don't NEED anymore Hello Kitty stuff!

When I saw this Hello Kitty paper at Michael's a couple months ago when they were having a 4 for $1 paper sale, I just couldn't resist! Then I promised a fellow stamper that I would make a card for her daughter who is also a Hello Kitty connoisseur! Today's sketch challenge on SCS seemed like the perfect time to use my treasured Hello Kitty paper.

First I painted crystal effects on all of Hello Kitty's bows. Next I used my Creative Memories circle cutting system to cut out the circles. Then I punched the Mega Scalloped Circle and the Stampin Up small oval in black. Used my paper piercer to punch holes around the scallop and then went over the holes and did the stitching with my white gel pen. Glued everything down on Real Red cardstock, placing the scalloped circle on pop dots, added some Making Memories jewel stickers and a bow to finish it off. Quick, simple and so cute!
