Hey friends! Today I am diving back into the world of mixed media for my second card in the Shanouki Art Full Deck Challenge #4. I'm not working at quite the pace of the challenge, but I hope to have a bit more time here in the next couple of months to get some more cards completed. If you’ve been following along, you know I love the beauty of mixed media—where there are no rules and the process is all about exploration.
For this card, I worked with a specific set of prompts: bird, gold, stencil with texture paste, black splatter, and orange. While I initially imagined a much more orange card, I ended up with a moody, rusty orange and dusty blue palette that I think makes the focal point really pop.
