Hi friends! I'm here with a super fun mixed-media project today. One of my goals for 2026 is to practice more mixed media. I often head into my studio intending to make some messy mixed media mayhem, but then once I'm in my studio I feel guilty for not working on design team projects or other "to-dos" on my agenda. So plans change.
In order to try to keep myself on track, I decided to do the Shanouki Art Full Deck Challenge this year. It's the fourth year of the challenge, but my first participating. As with most best laid plans, I started with this card on January 1, but as of today have only completed 2.5 cards. They are so much fun, but there's a lot going on right now in my personal life, so studio time has been limited. I'm hoping to catch back up this month.
Anyhow, I have a full process video of the making of this card up on my YouTube channel today. I did edit out a bunch of the drying time and non-essential stuff, but you can watch the whole thing come to life below or on YouTube.
