Hello friends! How's your month going? I've been busy enjoying the spring weather out on my patio, so haven't been spending too much time in my studio crafting. We ordered some new patio furniture towards the end of last season, so lately I'm enjoying sunny afternoons with a cup of coffee and a book or some crafty YouTube videos. Anyhow, that's what's up with me, how about you?
I did have a little watercolor session the other day and painted up this sweet little floral cup image from the Bloom with Happiness set. I embossed the image with black ink and clear embossing powder onto watercolor paper. Then I used Gansaii Tambi watercolors to color up the image, then flick some paint splatters on the surrounding panel. Once this was dry, I masked off the upper portion of the panel and the saucer and blended some distress ink for a grounded effect.
The image was die cut into a rectangle, then filled out with a couple of Sunshine & Petals PET tape stickers in the corner, then popped this up on foam tape for a little dimension, and matted with another rectangle.
The papers are from the beautiful Flowers: the Music of Spring paper pad from this month's paper pad club. I added some yellow pin-stripe peel-offs as a thin border between the two panels. The sentiment circle was masked off so I could watercolor just the inner circle. Once that was dry, I embossed the sentiment in the center, then popped up and embellished with another butterfly sticker. I finished off the card with several sparkling enamel dots for accent.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a super fabulous day!
