April 2023 Jaded Blossom Sneak Peeks Day 1

Hi friends! It's the start of sneaky peeks for the April Jaded Blossom Cinco de Mayo Release! This release is a super fun one that can be used year round (margaritas, tacos, pinatas, etc.). The design team will be sneak peeking each day leading up to a fun blog hop on release day, April 13. Today we're sneaking peeks at the new Gnome Dies: Cinco de Mayo Add Ons, Chili Pepper Stencil, Cinco de Gnomo stamp set, and Cinco de Gnomo Outline Dies. Here's a peek at the products being revealed today.

As per usual, there are more adorable dies for your gnome collection, and I couldn't wait to dress up the original Gnome Dies with one of the mustaches  and the cowboy boots from the previously released Gnome Dies: Cowboy Add Ons, then finish him off with the sombrero and a margarita glass from the Gnome Dies: Cinco de Mayo Add Ons set.

I colored his beard and body parts with Copic markers, then pieced him together. I don't drink much, but I do really like an occasional margarita with a salted rim, so was excited to see the margarita glass, complete with a lime wedge included in the set.  I Copic colored the base piece instead of adding all the layers, then just pieced on the lime. The salted rim was achieved by adding a little liquid glue to the top of the glass, then sprinkling with chunky glass glitter. Once it was adhered and dry, I went over the glitter with a white Pasco paint marker. I love the effect!

The background was a cleanup smooshing from a stenciling session.  I loved how the colors tied in with the margarita, so cut it out with the Card Mat Dies.  I finished with one of the sentiments from Cinco de Gnomo, cut with the coordinating outline dies.
