If you've arrived from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Blog, you're already on stop 2, welcome to more stampy goodness from me! If a link misbehaves along the way head on back there for the full hop list. All right, let's get hopping!
This month's Stamp of the Month is the super versatile Encouraging Thoughts sentiment set. The set is packed with encouraging sentiments, and during the month of May, it's a free gift with a $75 order. For this card, I decided to pair two of the sentiments from the set together.
I started by stamping and coloring the Made New butterflies, then die cutting with the coordinating Made New dies. I added a little shimmer to them with a wink of stella pen, then got to work on the background. I inked up the Skeleton Leaf Background set with a Kaleidacolor ink pad and stamped at the top of a 4" x 5.25" panel. Then I stamped the thinking of you sentiment, hand trimming the banner ends and matting with cardstock. I then stamped the today & everyday directly on the card panel and glued everything together.
I was having fun with the clean and simple style, so decided to try my hand at a one layer card next. I stamped the greeting from Encouraging Thoughts in the center of an A2 card base. Then I selected several flowers and a leaf image from the new Consider the Wildflowers set and stamped them randomly in blues and greens using Catherine Pooler inks. I finished with rounded corners on the bottom and a polka dot bow up top.
Thanks so much for stopping by! There's still a ton of inspiration on the hop, so be sure to click on over to the next stop.

What wonderful cards Julee - Love that leaf skeleton background and how you have used it with the multiple colours, and then let it show so beautifully under the simple butterfly elements!!
