Tis the Season

Hi friends! There's a new Essentials By Ellen release today, and I am delighted to share a project featuring the new Tis the Season set.

This stamp set is filled with stylish sentiments for all seasons, as well as some sassy little phrases to go with. Such a fun set.  For my card, I chose to pair it with the previously released Mondo Amaryllis. This flower is so gorgeous, I just couldn't wait to watercolor the image!

I embossed the flower with white embossing powder on smooth bristol, then watercolored with the Zig clean color real brush markers (colors linked below).  I then cut with the coordinating die and set aside.

I created a rectangle background wash with a couple of blue markers, then adhered the die cut flower to the panel with a foam sheet behind to add dimension.  The 'Tis the Season sentiment is stamped in black and then embossed in clear and popped up on foam tape to create a banner.  I finished off with some super sparkly sequins.
