TCP Sneaky Peek Week Day 3

Hi friends! It's Christmas in July! It's also my birthday! AND it's Day 3 of Sneaky Peek Week for The Cat's Pajamas! Alma has some super cool winter sets for you this Christmas in July. I had so much fun cooling off from the baking sun with the sweet santas in this set. Each day through release day, July 30, the Cat Pack will be treating you to a peek at a new stamp set. Look for the In it to Win it graphic and leave a little comment love on those posts for a chance to win a Cat Cash gift code to the shop! Sets are available as they are peeked, so if you see a must-have there's no need to wait.

Today's featured products are Sketchy Santas and the Joyeux Noel CutUps. These little santas are right up my alley and I love the fun lettered sentiments!

I put my Silhouette Cameo to the test again with the coordinating free downloadable cut files. I cut the whole file, then used the negative frame cut out to place my stamps from Sketchy Santa in my MISTI. I then placed the die cuts in the frame cut out and removed the frame and stamped the whole set at once. Easy peasy to bring a whole stamp set to life! I just might get behind this whole Silhouette craze after all! 😊

I colored my Santa, a teeny tree and the sentiment with Copic markers, then fluffed up his beard with some frosted lace stickles and accented the other stamped images with gloss accents and glitter.  The Joyeux Noel CutUps was calling my name and I loved the way the cut file sentiment looked layered over the die cut banner, so went with that, stamping the starry images on either side of the banner for more accent.

Next I took some papers from an old Teresa Collins paper pad and aged them with distress oxides. Man, oh man, it was a breeze with the new Big Beautiful Blending Brush. I do this technique a lot, but often have to go around the edges several times with each color to get a good blend.  These just went on so beautifully, and I was able to just go around once with each color for a really beautiful blend. I'm impressed.

I pulled out my sewing machine to add a bit of stitching accents, then layered everything together and accented with the three snowflake die cuts from the Joyeux Noel CutUps. For my finishing touch, I accented each snowflake with a silver saucer holeless sequin.

Alrighty, now it's time to see what my other teamies are sharing today. Leave a little love at each of their blogs today for a chance to win the drawing! Check out all the details on the TCP Blog.
