Hi friends! It's {inter}National Scrapbook Day today and Shimmerz is having a one day sale! I thought I'd pop in and share another card I made with the Missy Whidden May Color Kit. While it's not a scrapbook page, it is kind of a scrappy card, as I pulled out some ephemera from my stash for the sentiment and butterfly.

Okay, now on to the card! I absolutely love the new Rip Van Periwinkle and Iris My Case colors in the Missy May Color Kit. These two colors are exclusive to the kit, so if you love them too, be sure to snatch one up before the kitz are gone.

I started the background taping off some lines on watercolor paper with post-it note tape.  I then spritzed some Granny Gray Spritz onto my craft mat and sponged it onto the page with an ink blending tool. I dried this, then moved the tape over and repeated the process with Rip Van Periwinkle Vibez.

Next I pulled out the Spring Fling Stampz set and inked it up with granny gay from my craft mat and stamped randomly on the paper.  I repeated that process with Iris My Case Shimmerz, then splattered on some of all of my leftover inks.

The sentiment and the butterfly are ephemera pieces from the Rose Avenue line by Kaisercraft and I lightly painted the butterfly to match the project, then popped it up on foam tape to finish this fun mixed media card.
