In My Thoughts

Hi friends! It's time for a friendly reminder about this month's TCP Tuesday challenge.  The theme is spring and we'd love to see your creations. Here are all the challenge deets:

Each month a new challenge is posted on The Cat’s Pajamas blog and Facebook page.
  • To play along, upload your design to the Inlinkz link up on The Cat’s Pajamas blog
  • The Cat’s Pajamas products are NOT required, but we do LOVE to see them!
  • Winner is announced the first Tuesday of the following month and will receive a $50 gift voucher to The Cat's Pajamas store.
Hope you can play along. Here's my take on the challenge...

There's a house on my route to drop off and pick up the boys from school that has this amazing tree with flowers very similar to this. Right now it is ablaze with pink and white blossoms. So that was my spring inspiration.

I started by stamping this beautiful flower from the Sketchy Flowers set in Copic safe ink.  I then masked it off with a post it note and sponged around the flower with spun sugar and then the outer edges of the card with tumbled glass distress oxide. Then colored the image with Copic flowers trying to capture the pink and whites I see on my drive each day.

The sentiment is from Simply Said and I used the Cut-Align from My Sweet Petunia to easily trim it out and then fold the sides to create the banner.  I finished with a few butterflies from the Spring Confetti Mix, then cut a thin border of magenta cardstock using the Cut-Align.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! For more inspiration from the TCP kitties, click on over to the Cat Pack links on the sidebar to see what everyone created for the challenge! I hope you find a little time to play!
