Happy is Calling

Hi friends! It's the beginning of Sneaky Peek Week at The Cat's Pajamas. I've got an unofficial sneaky peek for you combined with a little reminder about the current TCP Tuesday challenge. My card today combines the fun new Year of the Pig stamp set and the Rectangular Stamp Die being peeked today with the Envie Envy TCP Tuesday challenge to decorate an envelope. Play along through April 1 and link up your entries over on the official challenge post for a chance to win a whopping $50 in Cat Cash to use in the TCP shop.

I started by stamping the party hat pig, then masking and stamping three times so I had a big pig pile-up. I colored with Copic markers and then cut with the Rectangular Stamp Die. I then stamped the happy and is calling sentiments on the smaller rectangular die cuts from the die set. The background is created with the Dots CutUps cover plate and I added a stitched grosgrain knotted bow for accent.

The envelope is created with the Envelope Punch Board. I had to dust it off, since it's possible it hasn't moved since shortly after I bought it many years ago! I had every intention of making my own envelopes, but I think I made a couple to hold gift cards right away and then nothing. This might even be the first mailable envelope I've made with it! 😂 I used some really old patterned paper from my stash to create an A2 size envelope, then stamped the happy several times and added the party hat pig to the top and finished off by coloring him in lightly with coordinating colors. This stamp set has every season covered, and it even has a little COFFEE (or tea) drinking pig which you'll be seeing on a card from me soon.
