Hallelujah

Hi friends! Monday has rolled around again. This is spring break for my kiddos, so we're gonna be doing some art projects... or is it, I'll be doing art projects and they'll be playing Nintendo? 😂 That's probably more like it!

Anyhow, I'm popping in today with a fun little Easter card. I love this cross image from the Victory in Jesus set by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and couldn't wait to color it.  I used Copic markers, then sponged around the edges with tea dye, vintage photo and walnut stain distress inks.

Next I embossed the hallelujah sentiment from He is Risen with the gorgeous Midnight Bronze embossing powder from Lindy's Stamp Gang onto vellum paper. I then inked the edges with the same colors of distress inks and adhered to my colored panel with liquid glue on the letters of the sentiment to keep the glue from showing.  I cut another strip of vellum the same height and cut banner ends into each side, then glued it behind and a little higher than the sentiment.  The background paper is from the Simple Life paper pad and I finished off with more distress ink around the edges of all the panels.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful start to your week!
