September Keeping Christmas Blog Hop

Hi friends! It's the 25th of the month and that means it's time to join my crafty friends once again to share their inspiring Christmas projects on our Keeping Christmas Blog Hop. If you're just popping in, the hop starts over on Kelly's blog. If you came from Claire's blog, then you've found your way to the next stop! 😊

I can't believe how quickly this year is flying by. It's already September and pretty soon these little blog hops will be back in season! {grin} For my cards today I decided to pair the new Cozy Cup stamp set from ClearSnap with the new Christmas collection from Carta Bella. These papers have my heart going pitter patter! Seriously beautiful.

I stamped the cup on white paper with new inks from Clearsnap and watercolored with the same inks.
I then stamped the plaid java jacket on kraft cardstock and fussy cut the images. I decided I wanted my tag to stand out more, so stamped again on white, cut just the gag out and then stapled a bit of string to it.

I liked the look of this and thought it was the perfect size for the front of a gift card holder, so pulled out the Lawn Fawn Stitched Gift Card Pocket die and cut a little pocket to tuck a gift card in. Next I layered a few of the papers from the collection, distressing the edges with inks.  A gold bow and some lace trim finished things off.

Since I'm trying to use up as much designer paper as I can when I cut into a new pad, I made a very similar card, with a some leftover pieces. The cup stamp in this set has some notches that make for easy masking, so you can swap out the whip cream topper if you want. Here I've done that, adding the straw image and then decorating the cup with some of the snowflake images from the set.  The sentiments are stamped directly on the card.

Hope this little giftcard duo has inspired you to get a head start on some of that holiday crafting. For more eye candy and inspiration, head on over to the next stop on the hop... Kim Heggins!
