I randomly picked out a paper pad from my basket, which happened to be this ephemera style Lille collection from 7 Gypsies. I loved the crazy love wording down the paper, so decided to incorporate that into the sketch. Since I had loaded up the Ranger CHA demos on YouTube to watch while I was stamping, the distressed look was a natural way to go for the card. (And speaking of crazy love and Ranger CHA demos... I cannot wait for the Distress Crayons!)
I inked the papers in antique linen and then vintage photo. I cut the bigger heart from the Wavy Hearts Die Set from both a doily and crumb cake and layered them together to give it a little weight. I then sponged on fired brick and vintage photo inks and some bronze distress stain. I finished off with a smudging of stamper's big brush pen around the edges and sketched a frame quickly with a ball point pen.
The i'm yours is a sentiment from Twitterpated, and is stamped in archival coffee ink then embossed in clear. I also stamped the small butterfly in coffee and colored with barn door, then cut with the coordinating All Aflutter Die Set. I added the three hearts and valentine sentiment to a little banner, then finished off with some glossy glaze and glitter on the butterfly.
I tried to stay pretty rugged (with the exception of the glitter... and the doily! LOL), since this is my card for Mark this year. I think he'll like it, even with a bit of sparkle. :)
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Gorgeous!!! Love all the little vintage details.
Pretty layers, colors & embellishments! It's visually interactive reading all the sentiments and catching all the details ~K
I know Mark will love it, doily and shine and all! It's from his sweetheart :) I've been watching the Ranger demos from CHA this week too! I saw some stencils and the white and black pens with my name on them! YIKES!
Super, super cute card. I love (and actually have) that paper. I love all the texture and dimension you added.
My kinda valentine, nice and grungy with bold graphic letters! Awesome card, Julee!
Wow! I see a key punch card on left side of your card. Being a retired IT person, I just had to comment. The vintage look of the card is very appealing! I am sorry I recycled a huge box of key punch cards along time ago. The use of a key punch card is a very novel approach to card design!
Oh love so much! Great card. Love the colors
