My card for today uses a sentiment I thought was perfect for a New Year's card.  I embossed the flowers from Let it Be with clear embossing powder and then colored with Clean Color Real Brush markers and a waterbrush.  Once they had dried, I cut them out with the Petal Points Die Set.  The sentiment is embossed in gold with a watercolor wash behind.  I added some leaves using the Sprightly Sprigs Die Set and some cool rose gold crackle paper.  I finished off with some loopy thread, a few pearls and distressed edges.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  There are SO many companies and talented designers participating...you won't want to miss out seeing all the goodies they are giving away!  The next stop on this hop is Leigh Penner  but if there is a break in the hop somewhere, the entire list is below.

MojoBella 1 Buttercream Bree

Hi friends!  Today I have a little something new for you.  A MojoBella sketch! Emily of Stamping Bella emailed me several months back and asked if I wanted to partner with her for next year's Bellariffic Fridays.  I was totally honored and it sounded like such a splendidly fun idea that I said side of things can be overwhelming and super stressful and I love the thought of company owners coming together in a spirit of collaboration rather than competition...just for the joy of this art we all love.

So I'll have a sketch over on Em's blog two Fridays a month in 2016.  You'll see larger image panels on the sketches, perfect for all those sweet Stamping Bella images. The first MojoBella sketch debuted this past Friday as a little intro for next year and here's the card I made with the sketch.

I had so much fun pulling out my Prismacolor Pencils and coloring up Tiny Townie Bree Loves Buttercream.  I was inspired by the ornaments on our tree this year.  Last year rather than going through the boxes and boxes of ornaments we've collected over the years, we bought a new tree and all new ornaments (the shatterproof kind).  The boys just love color, so it's a total rainbow of Christmas fun, with colored lights and tons of brightly colored balls and snowflakes

So that was my color inspiration.  It's been a LONG time since I colored with prismacolors and gamsol, but there's something so soothing about blending the pencil this way. I really felt like I was connecting with a former self and a simpler time (you know the time before kids LOL), I had a whole lot of fun and of course had to add a bunch of glitter. And I sprinkled in some Frosted Snowfall Sequin Mix (now back in stock and on sale) for accent.

Em will be posting what the bellas and sistahood did with the sketch today...  and I can't wait to see all the fun cards. If you use the sketch, I'd love to see what you do with it, whether you use Stamping Bella or Verve or whatever stamps you have. Leave me a link in the comments below and I'll come take a peek. :)

Paper: dp scraps, basic black, white

Tea Day Wreath

Hi friends!  It's International Tea Day and I'm back with another card for the Holiday Coffee Lovers Bloghop.   I usually drink coffee in the mornings, but my asthma has been acting up, so a nice cup of hot tea with honey was the perfect cough soother today. This morning's selection was a delicious cup of Murchie's Afternoon Blend  in the mug shown below.  Christy Tomlinson sold these a few years back and it's one of my all -time favorite mugs.  The other side of the mug says, "She has faith in the possibilities." Mmmmmm.... good.

Okay, on with today's card.  I was pretty limited in my supplies this morning as something shifted in the drawer where I store all of the ink pads I typically use and I think one of my distress ink tin lids flipped up and caught and I can't open the drawer!  Doh!  Luckily I already had this image from the Cup of Kindness digital set  printed.  I did still have antique linen (my go-to distress ink) on my desk, so I sponged it around the inner side of the stitched circle die, then colored the image with copics.  I added this to a silver doily behind to give the effect of a wreath.  A few pink and red pearls acccent the wreath and I finished off with a bit of ribbon, jingle bells and silver cording.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you have a fabulous International Tea Day!

Enabler's List
Stamps: Cup of Kindness digital set (Verve)
Paper: cream (neenah), silver doily
Ink: antique linen distress (Ranger), copic markers, laser printer

Very Merry Mojo

Hi friends!  It's Monday again already (don't the weekends just fly by?) and time for a brand new Mojo Monday sketch.  This will be our last sketch of 2015, as the Mojo team will be on holiday the last two weeks of December.

For my card, I used the Cup of Kindness digital set.  I cut the merry Christmas sentiment using the Flourished Tag Die Set, then hand cut a mat for it by tracing around the edge of the die and hand cutting.  I sponged with antique linen ink for a vintage look.  The to go cups are colored with Copic markers and cut out and the poinsettia is from the Pinecone Christmas set.  I embossed in gold, then cut with the coordinating Poinsettia Pinecones Die Set and colored with Copics.  I did stamp some more cups on the soft sky layer, but they were a little brighter than I wanted, so I added some texture paste with a stencil for a snowy feel.

This card is also for both the Cup of Kindness inspiration challenge and the Holiday Coffee Lovers Bloghop.  I just love seeing all the coffee, tea and cocoa cards around the blog-o-sphere!  Check out the Coffee Lovers master hop post for all the details!  Hope you have a super creative start to your week!  Thanks for stopping by!

Blue Cocoa Flakes

Hi friends!  Happy National Cocoa Day!  I'm back with another project for the Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  It's a super quick little cocoa card I whipped up this morning using the Cup of Kindness digital set and the Merry & Bright set.

I started by coloring the hot cocoa mug with Copic markers, then fussy cutting.  I stamped the snowflake from Merry & Bright in Versamark ink all around the printed sentiment and then embossed with clear embossing powder.  Next I did some emboss resist with tumbled glass and Feathered Peacock distress inks.  I matted this with black and tied a sweet little bow on for accent. The base is embossed with a Darice snowflake embossing folder and I was done!  Easy peasy!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  And don't forget to enjoy a cup of hot cocoa today! Here's a pic of the Toasted Marshmallow Hot Cocoas we enjoyed at IHOP today.  ;)

Coffee Lovers Wishes

Hi friends!  The Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is under way and I've been itching to make a card. It's been a crazy busy couple of weeks here at Casa Tilman and this morning I snuck into the studio to stamp for the first time in what seems like ages.  Just a quick little card using the Coffee set and a sentiment from the Cup of Kindness digital set limited time freebie, then back to trying to prevent my own little versions of Cain and Abel from repeating history.  {wink}

I started by embossing the coffee cup in gold and cutting with the coordinating Cuppa Joe Die Set . I then colored with Clean Color real brush markers and a waterbrush.  Next I used another of the embossing folders I picked up at Tuesday Morning.  This one is holly branches, and I just loved the look of it, so decided to watercolor the embossed parts with the same markers and a waterbrush.

I distressed this panel and added it to a layer of always artichoke that I stamped with the coffee beans stamp tone on tone.  This bit of ribbon from my stash seemed like the perfect match for the colors, so I tied it on and added some jingle bells.  Finished off with the printed Winter Wishes sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!  If you missed it on the Verve Stamps super sponsor post, I have a sweet little discount for all your coffee, tea and cocoa lovers in the store. Use gift code COCOA at checkout for 15% off.

Cocoa Kindness and a Hop

Oops!  Sorry my hop post is late.  I accidentally scheduled it for 5pm instead of 5am.  Doh!

Hi friends!  It's time for another Diva Inspirations Blog Hop to kick off Verve's December inspiration challenge.  I'm the first stop on the hop, so grab a treat and get ready for a little loveliness from the Divas inspired by this month's challenge theme... A Cup of Kindness!  There's a blog hop prize and a challenge prize up for grabs, as well as a free limited time digital download on our site!

For my project, I made an easy little hot chocolate holder with stamps from the Chocolate set and the keep calm senteiment from Coffee.  It's an 8.5 x 5.5" piece of cardstock, scored at 5.5" just like an A2 card, then I cut a diagonal piece off the front.  The bottom is adhered with sticky strip and I punched two holes with my crop a dile on the side to feed the ribbon through to tie my candy cane on.  Then it was just a matter of dressing it up with papers and stamps.  I also added a few wood stars which I embossed with frantage shabby embossing enamel.  Those seem to be my go-to embellishments this season.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I can't wait to hop along and see the colorful creations from the other Divas!  I hope you'll play along with us too!  You can find all the challenge details and linkup info on the Verve Blog.

Next up on the hop is the fabulous Amy Kolling!

Need a little inspiration? Check out the blogs linked below to see what the other Divas did with the challenge! It's sure to be a treat, and speaking of treats, we've got a prize for one lucky commenter along the hop! Check out the Verve Blog today for all the prize info and deadlines!
