No Mystery

Hi all! I can't believe how fast this month has gone! It's already the fourth and final week of the August Viva la Verve! challenges. If you're playing along and want a chance at our entire September release, you need to have all four of your cards uploaded and linked to the Champions thread in our forum by Thursday, August 27 at Midnight CST.

With a full week of release sketches followed by a full week of mojo sketches, I haven't gotten to do any of the VLV sketches yet, so this morning I sat down to try out the current sketch {VLVAUG04}. The {twist} for this week is to use your favorite color combo. Well, I think it's no mystery that although I'm a girl of many colors, I have quite a passion for aqua and brown.

So I pulled out some of my beloved Soft Sky cardstock and stamped the fleur de lis background from Bountiful Backgrounds in Soft Sky, then on Kraft with Vintage Photo Distress ink. These panels are matted with chocolate chip and stitched with my sewing machine. For the oval panel, I used a classic oval nestabilities die to cut and stencil the sponging. Next I embossed the sentiment from Bountiful Backgrounds in Chocolate Chip Craft ink and matted on a scallop oval. The two flowers are from Kaiser Craft and I layered them with a Making Memories brad then added crystal stickles and cinnamon stickles to the respective flowers and tucked a brown shimmer flourish chipboard piece from Making Memories behind it all. I finished up with a chocolate taffeta bow and a few more cinnamon stickles accents on the scallops.

What's In It?
Stamps: Bountiful Backgrounds (Verve Stamps)
Paper: Soft Sky, Chocolate Chip (SU!), Classic Cream (Neenah)
Ink: Soft Sky, Chocolate Chip craft (SU!), Vintage Photo (Ranger)
Accessories: Classic & Scallop Ovals (Nestabilities), sewing machine (Janome), Cinnamon & Crystal Stickles (Ranger), paper flowers (Kaiser Craft), chipboard and brad (Making Memories)
