Happy Together

The other day I was chatting with Shannan and she told me I better order some Stampavie stamps because she ordered some and as soon as she started posting cards I'd be wanting some. Well, I resisted for like 2 days, then I just had to order at least one to test them out. I started with this one called For You from the Lily & Milo collection. Since the little boy's name is Milo and that's also my dad's name, it was just meant to be. :)

For my card, I decided to take another stab at the Verve color challenge going on. The designers are still rocking the Verve Blog with their samples, and you still have until Saturday to get your entry in for a chance to win some Verve Bucks. I stamped For You in Versafine Onyx Black, heat set and then colored with Copic markers. I sponged the edges with Soft Sky ink and then matted with Old Olive. For the back layer, I pieced together a scrap of So Saffron and Soft Sky, ran it through the Cuttlebug with the Stylized Flowers folder and added some Soft Sky double stitched ribbon down the seam.

The sentiment is from the Anniversary Birds set. I stamped it in Onyx Black, punched out just the sentiment with a 1 3/8" circle punch and then stamped around the edges with just the bouquet part of the For You stamp in Regal Rose. I layered onto a scalloped circle punch in Regal Rose, added a prima and a dew drop and then finished off with a few random Stardust
Stickles.
