Hello Friend

Okay, so the A Muse store was awesome! We got some great pictures and I splurged on a whole bag full of stamps, including some new releases! Tune in next week for some pics of our shopping extravaganza.

Okay, on to today's card... I just love the new line of Stampendous spring stamps. This chickadee just makes me smile! I started off the card by stamping the Hello Chick on Pearlized White Paper Accents paper and coloring with prismacolors and mineral spirits. I then cut out with my Creative Memories oval cutting system and matted using pop dots on a Bashful Blue Giga scalloped oval punch. Next I matted a piece of Lily Kate Basic Grey paper on Bashful Blue and ran through my Cuttlebug using the D'vine Swirls Embossing Folder. I added two photo corner punches to opposite sides and then painted Dazzling Diamonds and Crystal Effects mixture over all of the swirls and accented the flowers and leaves of the chick image.

Next I used my Sakura Black Glaze pen to doodle around the edges of the ovals and outlined the lines of the stamped image with my clear stardust gel pen. I then added a 1/2" strip of the LilyKate striped paper with rhinestone brads at the bottom and glued to the yellow LilyKate card front. The final accents were piercings across the top and bottom of the card and layered Forever Flowers by Prima added to the corner of the image with a rhinestone brad.

Wow, this is a fantastic card. I love the scalloped edges around that oval. I must get that punch. Tell Cindy Christine (not her mother the other one) wants one. Ha. Just kidding. I will email her. From what I read on her blog it seems as though they are hard to find. I saw that one sold for $36.00 on ebay. Anyway, I flipped through the last couple of your blog entries and your creations are just fantastic. So much detail. I hope you are having fun during your scrapping/stampin vacation.
Have a great day!
