Happy Friday! Wow, what a week! It seems like every time I've turned around this week there's been another obstacle, another call with sad news, or another setback to make me feel like I'm going backwards instead of forwards. You ever notice that some weeks are like that? So this morning when I woke up and heard the glorious sound of raindrops on the roof, I thought to heck with my mile high to-do list and my overflowing inbox, I'm playing hooky this morning! It's not like the boss will fire me, ya know? LOL
Determined to do something fun with my morning, I headed into my studio for a little stamp therapy. As I've been preparing for our 2 year anni-VERVE-sary release, I've been thinking back to our beginnings, so I pulled out the first 2 sets we release, Fancy Florals and Thoughtful Florals (well, I pulled out the clear versions, not the original rubber). Then I just went with what I had out on my desk.
At the top of my inspiration pile were the sketches Janelle shared in her really cool Anni-VERVE-sary blog hop post. I chose the 12th sketch, mainly because of the slanty panel (you know I love those!) The scraps on my desk were from the Black & Ivory Fusion by K & Company and the Sunsplashed collection from Archiver's, so I chose one of my favorite color combos, aqua and orange to liven up my day. Then it was just a matter of cutting, sponging and stamping and before I knew it my card was done!
Thanks so much for stopping by. I've got to go start my workday now, but I hope you have a fabulous weekend!
