Fabulous Saffron

Happy Thursday! Between not feeling well and trying to get some tax work done (ugh!), I haven't had much creative time this week. This morning I decided to take a pit stop by my studio on the way to my computer and see what I could come up with in 20 minutes or less. This card is the end result.

Pretty simple, really. The gorgeous paper is a scrap from one of my favorite BasicGrey collections - Scarlet Letter. It's matted in black with a Martha Stewart doily lace punch edge. I stamped the butterfly from Floral Whimsy 3 times in A Muse black, then colored with Copic markers, trimmed and matted with black. For the so saffron layer, I just glued down my patterned paper and then stamped the sentiment from Uplifting Phrases directly above the patterned paper piece. A little black taffeta bow and some crystal effects on the butterfly wings and I was done!

I'm kinda digging the layout that just fell together - maybe you'll see this one again sometime. ;)

I have *got* to add some 20 minutes or less cards to my stash. I seem to be spending 1-2 hours on them lately. I guess that's partly coloring time, though.

Pretty, pretty card!!

Don't you just love it when cards make themselves???! That's a great idea though...make a card in 20 minutes or less because I usually take waaay too long and with a little time "crunch" I'm sure I'd get better and more done in less time!! Thanks for the ideas! Hope you're feeling better!!

Hugs
