My antibiotics must really be affecting my left brain or whatever part I use to create, because making this card was like pulling teeth. What started out as a good concept, just didn't finish out well. But I stamped, so I'm going to show it to y'all.
This was a sketch from Jen's blog a few weeks ago. I finally got my hand on the Wordsworth Stick People set by Rubber Soul. I've been wanting this cowgirl for I don't know how long. Unfortunately, it seems whenever I get a stamp I have REALLY been wanting, the first card I make usually ends up in the trash pile.Here's the details... I stamped the cowgirl on Pearlized White Paper Accents cardstock and colored with Prismacolors and Gamsol. I sketched in a little ground for her to stand on with my prismacolors as well. I then matted and snipped the edges all the way around the mat to make it look like fringe. The sentiment is stamped on DP and then I stamped off once and stamped again with Really Rust for the Purple Onion Designs star. I pierced around the edges of the circle, matted on circle cut with scallop decorative scissors and added a ribbon tab with a brad as the O in howdy. The horizontal strip is tacked down with brads and then snipped on the ends for more fringe. All of the DP is from the Cowgirl Crate Paper collection and most of it is sponged with Versafine Vintage Sepia ink. The card base is Chocolate Chip.

I think the card is adorable and has mojo!! Don't judge yourself too much. I think if you mounted it on a white base it would pop more and you would see all the mojo there!! :)

Julee, you make me howl! If I came up with something like this on my first try I would award myself artist of the month, and gloat to my family (who could care less) about my artistic prowess. Keep on sharing...this is so cute and she looks like one hot cowgirl!
