Splendiferous Gnome

Oh my goodness! My new Cat's Pajamas stamps from the summer line arrived yesterday and they are so CA-UTE!!! I was bouncing up and down like a kid on Christmas morning!!! I don't know how I'll ever wait until they release in May to share all these wonderful stamps with you! Alma has really outdone herself this time. You're gonna love them ALL! Aren't I such a tease? LOL! :) I added a logo with a link to the Cat's Pajamas site over on the sidebar, so now we can all see Sprinkle everyday!

Okay - on with the stamping. Here's another card I made at Cindy's last weekend. I used to not like these Gnobbly Gnomes, but this little guy looked fun to color, so I stamped one of Cindy's images and made a card. This was another PageMaps sketch, which I tweaked justa a little. I was really drawn to the lacing.

I started by stamping the image from Gnobbly Gnome (Stampin Up) in Black Stazon on Conqueror White Card Stock. I then colored him in with prismacolors and mineral spirits and sketched a frame around the edges and matted with Basic Black cardstock. The circle background paper is from Scenic Route and the floral background paper is from Cindy's stash (K & Company, I think). I used my mat pack and paper piercer to punch the holes for the silver brads and then laced them with silver cord.

Next I added the negative image of a half circle punch I made for my Broomzelda card. This was a tweak to the sketch, but I liked the look of it. I used my stardust gel pen to add faux stitching around the black panels. To finish, I stamped Have a Splendiferous Day (A Muse) in Black Stazon in the bottom right corner and added dots and doodles across the top and bottom of the card with my black glaze pen. I just noticed there's no sparkle on this card, so I will soon be pulling out one of my 30 bottles of stickles and spiffing Mr. Splendiferous up! :)
