Picket Fence Studios Release

Hi friends! I'm super excited to be joining in the April Picket Fence Studios release as a guest designer. There's an Instagram hop with a pretty awesome giveaway today, so if you've got some time head on over to my Instagram feed @vervegirl.

There's so much to love about this fabulous new release. Today I'm sharing a few of the makes I created with my design team package.  This first card combines the Watermelon Nectar background, the Summer Beach Friends Dear set and coordinating dies, and the Watermelon Crush Sequin Mix. I watercolored the background, then glued down a strip of patterned paper and cut a rectangle from it for the shaker window.  I used some of the ink I watercolored with for a smooshed background for the bottom of the shaker, then filled with the Watermelon Crush Sequin Mix.

Next up I colored this sweet girl from the Summer Beach Friends Dear set and die cut her to pop up on the side.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set, and offset with a couple black cardstock die cuts behind it to mat it.  A super fun card, and boy am I wishing for summer. We woke up to another snowfall yesterday.

My next card also features the Watermelon Nectar background. I just love these sweet watermelon pieces and this time I colored with Copic markers and then stamped one of the solid hearts from Sweet Sweet Dear in mint green randomly around the background.  I added a little strip of patterned paper, then got to work coloring up this watermelon cutie and her cat. After die cutting with the coordinating dies, I arranged them on the card, then added the sentiment and a few more stamped and die cut hearts. I finished with a few Watermelon Crush sequins.

My final card for today features the new A Rainbow Die for All Seasons. Continuing my pink and green theme, I chose cardstocks in those colors for the rainbow pieces. I then added sequins from Watermelon Crush as an accent all along the inner curve of the rainbow.  the background was done by smooshing green dye ink onto white cardstock. I added with one of the darling flamingos from the Summer Beach Friends Dear set, then finished off with a sentiment from the Sweet Sweet Dear set.
