Timing

Hi friends! I'm popping in today with a simple mini slimline featuring a couple of the June release sets from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. Summer break is in full swing here, and our family unfortunately has been kicking it off with a summer cold. Bummer! I created a bunch of cards, but just haven't had the energy to share them, so I thought I'd at least pop in today to share a quick one.

The Stamp of the Month for June is the fantastic Grunge Stripe Background. I love it! I stamped it repeatedly on a panel of cardstock with Evergreen Bough distress ink, then lined it up to stamp again to fill in the empty parts with salvaged patina. I love how it turned out.

Next I stamped the botanical image from Botanical Branches on watercolor paper and watercolored, doing a little color mixing to get some different variations of green and blue. I hand trimmed, then pulled out the previously released Truth Quotes 1 and embossed onto a vellum rectangle (because I just didn't want to cover up that fun background.  I finished with a mini slim card base.
