Light Up My World

I  haven't used colored pencils for coloring pretty much since Copics came to the stamping world.  But I do love the look of them on black and kraft cardstock, so decided to dust my Prismacolor pencils off and work up a fun background. When I saw the you light up my world sentiment in the new Deeply in Love add-on, I just had to pair it with the previously released Jellyfish Party Bold Prints. And what better way to light up a card than with bright colors on a black background? I embossed the background on pitch black cardstock with White Satin Pearl embossing powder, then colored with Prismacolor pencils.

I then did the same thing with the greenery and rocks from Deeply in Love, then stamped the little hermit crab on white and colored, then cut them all out with the coordinating frame cuts.  The sentiment is stamped onto white cardstock and then blended with lemon drop reactive ink to make it shine. This was a super fun card, and I think I need to now dust off my gamsol and try a little pencil coloring again.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a fabulous day!

love, love, love this Julee - the coloured pencil on the black is stunning, and I love the way you have coloured the jellyfish so it looks as though they are glowing.
Stay safe
