Up to Something

Hi friends! I'm popping in today to share a one layer card. Yep, you read that right, a one layer card! I had lots of fun with color for this one, so come along and read about the process.

I started out the week with a night scene using the Nature Silhouettes set from Sweet 'n Sassy, and I'm rounding out the week with a daytime scene. These flowers make the perfect little field of wildflowers, don't ya think?

I started the card with the butterfly image, stamping it in monochromatic blues in a diagonal trail up the card.  Next I stamped the flowers across the bottom in varying shades of purple, then stamped in the greenery. Once this was all dry, I sponged distress oxides in scattered straw and tumbled glass, meeting in the middle for a bit of green.  I then added a bit more blue to the top of the sky and stippled on a bit of white paint and a few droplets of water for a cloudy look.  I finished off with a sentiment from the Be Encouraged 2 Stamp set. Such a fun, quick card to create.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful start to your week.
