Joyous Holiday

Hi friends! Today I'm popping in with a little holiday  inspiration with the fabulous September Stamp of the Month from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

It's no secret that I love sentiments, and Holiday Greetings is filled with great sentiments that are large enough to be focal points on the outside, as well as perfect for the inside of cards! Double bonus!

I'm on a mission this year to stick to creating holiday cards that easily fit in an envelope. My love of layers and embellishments doesn't always play nicely with USPS! LOL  I love how easy this set makes holiday stamping. Add a little patterned paper or mixed media background and maybe a stamped accent or two and voila! A beautiful card that is quick, easy, and totally mailable!

And if I didn't warn you last time, I'm totally head over heels for P13 papers, and you're going to be seeing them for tons of my holiday cards this year!  The designs are so pretty!  For this card I chose papers from the Rosy Cosy Collection.  I also used a coordinating mat pad with a variety of solid hues of green, which I used for my mats and the die cut border.

The sentiment is embossed in gold on a cream circle, then I lightly sponged around the edges with antique linen distress ink, before matting with the green paper.  The holly leaves are from the Deck the Halls set. I stamped the leaves three times and embossed with gold, then stamped the berries in a very light ink and colored with Copic markers.  I hand trimmed these three, accenting the berries with a crystal clear lacquer pen and then sprinkled on a little Vintage Platinum Glitter Dust.

There you have it... another easy peasy Christmas card design. And if you love this set as much as me, it's available to purchase, OR you can receive it for free with a $75 order in the month of September. Just add it to your cart and the discount will automatically apply once the total is reached.
