Happy Birthday Squared

Hi friends! I'm popping in with a card that somehow I neglected to post back when I created it. (Y'all this is a real problem lately... I'm way behind in posting tons of cards. I'm not sure this has ever happened in my entire crafting career!  LOL) This card uses the ADORABLE Let There Be Cake stamp and Layer Cake dies. You can buy them individually or get the bundle at a special price.

I don't know about you, but I'm often late to the party when it comes to birthday cards. They get made at the last minute and sent at an even later minute! So this set totally appealed to me, as you can easily create a quick little card with the stamps and dies. And depending on your colors and embellishments, it can be great for a guy or a girl. (You know, I think that's why this card got neglected... I was planning to make a matching masculine card and it never happened!)

Anyhow, I chose some peachy pinks for my card, inking up with different colors to give an ombre look to the candles, then choosing a different color for each of the three cake layers I chose to stamp.  The cake stand is stamped in a deep gray and then I cut everything with the coordinating dies.

A nice diagonal striped background panel sets it off nicely, and since I love to add little extras, I accented with holeless sequins and spring confetti mix. Finished card size is 4.25" square.
