January 2019 Keeping Christmas Inspiraton Hop

Hi friends! It's the 25th of the month and that means it's time to join my crafty friends once again as we share Christmas inspirations along our Keeping Christmas Blog Hop. If you're just popping in, the hop starts over on Kelly's blog. If you came from Claire Broadwater's blog, then you're right on track! 😊

The purpose of this little hop is to share Christmas inspiration and get a jump start on our 2019 Christmas projects so we're not slammed come December! Sounds good to me! 👍

I started with this sweet little Santa image from the Christmas Cookies set. I purchased it late in the year and hadn't had a chance to ink it yet, so thought this would be the perfect time. I stamped in jet black amalgam ink on smooth bristol and then colored with Zig Kuretake Clean Color Real Brush markers. I haven't pulled these out for a while and recently watched a YouTube video where someone colored with them, and I was inspired to pull them out. I like to blend these markers with a clear wink of stella pen to get amazing sparkle!

When I had finished coloring and hand trimming Santa, I was feeling a bit mojo-less. So I pulled out the current Mojo Monday 507 sketch and a fun pack of paper from my stash that matched the colors in my image to get me going. I pretty much followed the sketch to the T, just adding a fun little border trim to the sentiment strip, which is stamped with the Bitty Minnie Alpha set. I highlighted the stamped letters with some Stardust gelly roll pens for extra sparkle.

Hope this fun little card has inspired you! For more eye candy and inspiration, head on over to the next stop on the hop... Kim Heggins!
