Guess what? My boys turned 13 this weekend! 🙈 We officially have teenagers in our house. Those first few years ticked by so slowly and the rest have just flown by! I'm giving myself kudos for keeping them alive this long! LOL
For their birthday cards, I chose the Party Animals set from Not 2 Shabby. I just love how cute these little critters are. In honor of the blue and green colors that I used to dress the boys in to make sure people could tell them apart, I chose blue and green papers from the Cool Treats paper pad.
The first card has a faux polaroid picture with the two bears and rabbit from the stamp set. I had a fun little Copic coloring session, then cut them out with my Brother Scan 'n Cut. I arranged the two bears together, then popped up the bunny outside the photo frame and added the sentiment. I finished off with some sparkly enamel dots.
The second card uses the tiger image and the cake. I placed the cake on the table from the Cozy Corner stamp set, then blended some tumbled glass ink in the background of the circle die cut. For this card I used some of the same striped paper and then pulled in some ice cream cone paper for my boy who loves ice cream. The sentiment circle has the same ink blending behind it and I added some white pin stripe peel-offs on either side of the ice cream layer for a little contrast.
The cards were a hit and the boys had a great birthday. Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fantastic day.
