Hi friends! Today I'm super excited to be guest designing for the new Picket Fence Studios release today. There's a fabulous array of products, so be sure to check out what's new!
My heart kind of skipped a beat when I saw the Alice Girl stamp set. Doesn't it look like she has such joy in the moment? I couldn't wait to create with her. I colored with watercolor markers, then cut with the coordinating Alice Girl Die. I then brought in some more floral imagery from the new Beautiful Girl Flowers set, watercoloring and cutting with the coordinating dies as well.
She seemed like she was aching for a boho kind of background, so I pulled out my gelatos and gessoed some cardstock before I got started. I colored in pinks, purples, and turquoise, blending with a baby wipe, then watered down some of the gelatos and splattered on the background. The sentiment reads, "the sun on her skin and a song in her heart". Just makes me smile!
For my next card, I used the same Beautiful Girl Flowers set, this time embossing in white on vellum and die cutting. I colored the back side with watercolor markers and then got to work stenciling the gorgeous new Daisy Burst Stencil with paste on white card stock.
Next I smooshed some blue and aqua inks onto a piece of cardstock, then die cut with the beautiful Snowflake Lydia Die. I layered the die cut three times for dimension, then coated with watermark ink and embossed with clear embossing powder for some sturdiness. The sentiment is from the new Bugville set, and I embossed it in silver, then hand trimmed as a banner for my snowflake/flower/ribbon/ensemble. Some shiny silver cardstock and a sequin from the Gin & Tonic Sequin Mix finish things off.
This next card features the Bugville set. It's been rainy, snowy, and just generally dreary around here, so I wanted a splash of color! water colored the main image and a few of the little crawly critters with watercolor markers and then cut with the coordinating dies.
For the background, I masked off the bottom part of the panel with tape, then pulled out the Daisy Burst Stencil again, this time blending in yellows with the Life Changing Blending Brushes. I stamped the sentiment below, adding the critters evenly spaced out, then popped up the building image on a foam sheet for some dimension.
My final card mixes several products from the new release. This sweet little thing from the Baby Girl of All Seasons set is just too cute. I went with waterolors for this one, too, then cut with the coordinating die. I really love the new Literally Word Die, and I thought it would be fun to pull in the just crawling by sentiment from Bugville, since babies crawl! I also had the idea of stamping two babies, then stamping baby, baby and using the literally die for a twins card. As a twin mom, I always think of twin cards. LOL
The background is done with the new Geo Squares Stencil. I first blended lightly all over the background with three colors of pinks, then I went in with the same shades of ink with the stencil for a tone on tone look. I then added a bit of glitter paste just to the center as a little sparkly backsplash.

Oh, my goodness! It's a delight to have you as the Picket Fence Studios Guest Designer! Your art is always incredible! I love the color wash behind Alice. The snowflake looks amazing with the stenciled texture! Bugville is so bright and cheery and I love that you added the stencil to the background! Lastly, the crawling sentiment with the baby is literally genius!
