Simple Easter

Hi friends! Hope you're having an awesome week so far! Today I'm popping in with a couple of simple Easter cards I created with the beautiful new Rustic Easter set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  This set is filled with farmhouse florals, rustic crosses, and elegant sentiments.

For my first card, I colored up this gorgeous floral bouquet in spring colors, thenb hand trimmed. Next I stamped and colored the wood sign, embossing the Alleluia! sentiment in white, then fussy cutting. I used designer paper for the background and a little horizontal panel (flipping the design to give a little interest.  The yellow seemed a little bare, so I added the cross background from Texture Tiles 5 to the yellow portion in yellow ink for a subtle look.

For my next card I wanted a bit more manly look and I found this awesome patterned paper in the same paper pad that was just the look I was going for.  I stamped, colored and cut the cross image, then darkened up the edges with some walnut stain distress oxide.  I finished with the Happy Easter sentiment on the horizontal strip, matted with a bit of gray cardstock.
