This card started out with me flicking color onto watercolor paper using the kit colors: great fruit, ride the tide, lettuce get together and granny grey. I loved how it turned out so much that I didn't want to cover it up! So I decided to make a little shaker so you could see through to the background. I used a leftover panel I had watercolored with stripes and cut a rectangle out of for the monkey card I posted Friday. I added acetate to the back of this panel, then two layers of foam tape, and then added some sweet little sequins before sealing everything up.
Next I pulled out the Life is a Circus stamp set from the kit and stamped the darling elephant, cannon and balloon images, coloring with the inks from the kit, then cutting with the coordinating die set.
For the sentiment, I added a ticket strip I had in my stash and masked the sentiment to stamp it on two lines to be able to fit the ticker. I finished off with some distressed edges and a seam binding bow. Simply adorable!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you'll give the March Cardmaking Kit a look-see. If you missed it, I did a short little video walkthrough of the kit. You can view it on my YouTube channel.
