Easter Blessings

Hi friends! It's the first day of a new month and time for a new Sweet 'n Sassy release. The release is packed full of springtime and Easter goodness. As always, for a limited time you can save some moulah by purchasing the Early Bird Bundle.

My card for today uses the new Victory in Jesus stamp set and the previously released Texture Tiles 1 set. I loved the beautiful book image in the set, and thought it would lend itself well to a shabby chic card.  I started by stamping the book image from Victory in Jesus, masking off the death where is your sting sentiment so I had a couple of blank pages. I then masked everything except the two blank pages and stamped the script background from Texture Tiles 1. While I had my mask still in place, I sponged a little old paper distress ink around the edges.  Next I colored the lilies and the outer edges of the book with Copic markers and fussy cut the image.

The papers I chose to pair with this image are from the Lavender collection from Prima. Every time I use the color lavender I think of my Grandma who loved everything lavender. It had such a sweet time making this card as I replayed memories of her in my head. 💜

I sponged around the edges of each panel with old paper and frayed burlap distress ink for a vintage look. The Easter and Blessings words are stamped on a circle die cut and embossed in copper. I added a little banner shape up top for the For God so loved the world and then added a few lilies I stamped and fussy cut for accent. A bit of lace, some kraft cardstock and white gel pen accents finish things off.
