Mojo Smiles

Hi friends! Can you believe it's Monday again already? It seems the weekends go by faster and faster with 2 little boys around! {grin} Anyhow, Monday morning means it's time for another Mojo Monday sketch. And since it's the last Monday of the month, it's my favorite week... round or square. I hope you'll find a little time to play along with my sketch this week! I love seeing what everyone comes up with!

For my card, I pulled out the newly released Doodled Occasions set and a bunch of paper from my scrap pile. I noticed as I was looking through cards by the Divas in our gallery that there was a lot of yellow being used this release. So I set out to use a little bit of yellow on my card. The pennants are cut with the Ribbon Banner Die and I stamped the trio of flowers off the edge of a Classic Oval Nestabilities die cut, then added the Smile sentiment and cut out and popped up another flower from the Doodled Occasions set. I stamped another flower trio on white cardstock, then cut out the leaves to add them to my solo flower. Everything is colored with Copics. I added a few doodles here and there to match the sketchy style of the images, then finished off with a Flourished Trim Die edge and some scattered flatback pearls (as well as some black liquid pearls up top.

Okay, that's all on the card front. If you haven't already heard, all of the sets and dies we've been showcasing over the past couple weeks are now available for purchase in the Verve Store!  Woohoo!!!

And all Verve stamps and dies are on sale 10 - 50% through the end of the month, so be sure to check it out!

oh, yes, this card makes me smile despite the fact that I'm heading back to my classroom this morning to set it up :) My stamps are still all over the studio as I'm not finished with them! LOL I could play on and on with them...this release was totally out of this world fabulous! Love those banners and how you used the trim die on the bottom :)

This card is an inspiration. You've taken colors and patterns one normally wouldn't think to put together and made it all work so beautifully. An absolutely gorgeous card!

I don't know where to start! First, thank you for a fabulous sketch to work with--and second--you rocked it! Could not even pick my favorite detail. The bottom edge is extraordinary! Thanks so much for sharing your masterpiece!

Love the striking colour combo and the new Doodled set, and what a great way to use the new border die.
I tried to upload a card for the Anni-VERVE-sary card sketch on Splitcoaststampers but I was unable to register with SCS in time (still waiting for the moderator to approve my registration). I had fun, though, taking part in the blog hops and playing with my very first Verve stamps. I even managed to enter my card into the Customer Card Carnival.
