Kind Echoes Diva Inspirations Blog Hop

It's time for the Verve Divas to bring you our monthly Diva Inspirations Challenge and Blog Hop! I'm the first stop on the hop, so let's get to it!

My card  ended up not at all like the picture in my head, but I got to playing with distress inks and one thing led to another!  {grin}  I started with some watercolor paper that I smooshed broken china, elegant peacock, twisted citron and shabby shutters ink onto the background, spritzed and let the colors run.  Then I added a bit of colorburst powders. Next I grabbed a stencil and rubbed some of the ink away through the stencil with a baby wipe.  The flowers from Kind Words are embossed on white on this panel.

For the sentiment panel, I did a little more smooshing this time with worn lipstick, spiced marmalade and warm honey, then embossed the Kind Words sentiment in black.  The inspiration graphic had my mind wandering to fibers, which were super popular on cards a few years back. Luckily I still have boxes of them, so dug through to find one that was just right.  I added a little asian coin and some twine, then finished off with a bunch of distressed edges.
