Peaceful Vibes

Hi friends! If you missed it, Hero Arts released their May My Monthly Hero Kit and some fabulous add-on stamps and dies this week. Today I'm sharing another card I created with the add-ons.

Encouraging card by Julee Tilman using Hero Arts products.

I started with the amazing US Mailbox Fancy Die. I cut it from white cardstock, then blended stormy sky and blueprint sketch ink until I achieved the worn, sun aged look our particular local drop box has.  Next I cut the envelopes from canary and periwinkle cardstock, sponging the edges lightly with blueprint sketch on the periwinkle, and squeezed lemonade on the canary.

The background is done with the gorgeous new Sun Background Stencil. I stenciled first with squeezed lemonade, then hit the inner portions with mustard seed, and then went in with a small blending brush to add a bit of dried marigold around the edges of the circle.  Then it was just a matter of layering the die cuts and adding a sentiment from Zen Messages.  I finished with a bit of yellow lacquer from the February Kit.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a bright sunshiny day!

Julee this looks awesome. I just purchased the mailbox die so great inspiration. I have several family members and friends who are mail carriers so I thought this would be a great die cut to have.
