Country Garden

Hi friends! Today I'm popping in with a shabby chic mixed media card I created. When I'm feeling a little lackluster in the mojo department, I like to pull out pretty papers and put my shabby chic skills to the test.

The flower jar image is from the Country Garden set and is stamped in black ink and then colored with Copic markers and hand trimmed.

Next I stamped the thinking of you sentiment on a 3x4" panel of cardstock and smooshed with squeezed lemonade, stormy sky, and chipped sapphire. Oh how my hands love getting inky! I just kept layering color on, then added in some stamped texture with the  Delightfully Delicate Background and Texture Tiles 1 sets.  The flower pattern in the upper left corner is stenciled with white molding paste for a little extra interest, and I finished the panel with more sponging and some rounded corners.

The background for the card is a panel of designer paper that I smooshed with the same colors of ink, then sponged the edges.  I finished with a bit of seam binding and a little glitter on the image.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulously creative day.

You are a shabby chic genius! I love the sunny yellow and the beautiful sapphire blue, and the stenciled flower is gorgeous. Just love this card!

Ohhh, how gorgeous is this - fabulous use of colours Julee, and I love all the depth you have achieved with the background, stenciling, smooshing and stamping.
Stay safe
