Monochromatic Love

Hi friends! Happy Tuesday! I'm popping in with a masculine friendly valentine card.

I created this one for Diane's monochromatic color challenge for the SNSS VIP Stamp-a-thon. It was super fun and simple.

I've been loving the look of ink blending on colored cardstock lately, so decided to try out some colors. I started with Bermuda Bay cardstock from SU. then I blended with tumbled glass, broken china, mermaid lagoon and chipped sapphire distress inks. When I had the blending how I wanted it, I stamped one of the heart backgrounds from Texture Tiles 5 randomly in the background in broken china and chipped sapphire.

Next I stamped a column of hearts in tumbled glass, broken china, and mermaid lagoon using a stamp from the Forever & Always set (this set is currently part of the Overstock Sale at SNSS).  I cut this panel, leaving some white space around the column.  Then I decided I wanted it to pop just a bit more, so stamped the top heart again and fussy cut to pop up on a dimensional.  I finished with the love you sentiment in black. This is going to be Mark's birthday card this year.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
