Butterfly Thank You

Hi friends! Happy Monday. I'm popping in today with another card I made with the New Day Butterflies set from the Hero Arts spring catalog release. I just couldn't get enough of these butterflies.

I started this card with the new Tag Fancy Die, cutting it from smooth bristol and then stamping and masking and stamping some more the different butterflies from New Day Butterflies. I then watercolored with squeezed lemonade, worn lipstick, and hickory smoke distress oxide inks. I also stamped a butterfly by itself and cut with the coordinating frame cuts and watercolored this as well. I then embossed and cut the same butterfly from vellum and layered over the watercolored butterfly.

The backdrop is the fabulous new Canary Hero Hues cardstock and I randomly stamped the butterflies in squeezed lemonade distress oxide and then embossed in clear for a subtle background. Next I finished off my tag, hand cutting a mat for it with the Pitch Black Hero Hues cardstock and then cutting the little tag topper as well and finishing it off with a bit of twine.

The sentiment is embossed in white on pitch black cardstock cut with the Rounded Rectangle Infinity Dies. I then cut a frame from white cardstock using two of the Rounded Rectangle Dies and layered it to frame the sentiment.  My final step was to layer it all together and add a bit of crystal clear lacquer and some glitter.
