Today and Always

Happy Friday!  I'm having a blast on vacation and keep pinching myself, I'm so excited I still have another week left here in Montana. Laurie's stamp room seriously rocks, and we've had such good times.  I'm so grateful hubby was so supportive of me coming here.

Before I left, I made this little card for him and stealthily tucked it away in his Kindle cover so that he'd be sure to find it after I had gone.  It was a pretty sure bet he'd find it the first night, and he did!  I used May Week 2 Viva la Verve! sketch and the blue inspiration photo.

The main paper is from the So Sophie collection by My Mind's Eye.  Mark really likes the look of crimped paper, so I pulled out the paper corrugator for the French Roast panel, then light distressed the edges with my new Distrezz-it-All.  For the sentiment, I pulled out the I love you today and always stamp from One Person, then stamped one of the leaves and embossed it white all around the sentiment to mimic the lok of the paper.  Next I stamped the two flowers (also from One Person) on the patterned paper, then sponged the edges, layered and added some white accents with a gel pen.   I added a couple strips of ribbon for a little interest and glued everything to a white card base.

Okay, that's all for the card front.  Hope you have a fabulous weekend!
