Getting Digi with the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop

Hi friends! It's that special time of year when all the coffee loving papercrafters get to post obscene amounts of coffee, tea and cocoa creations! The Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop kicks off today and I have a bunch of fun projects I can't wait to share with you over the coming week!

For today's post, I'm sharing a card I made with a new DIGITAL set I created that's available today in the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps shop. SNSS is one of the fabulous Super Sponsors along the hop. At last count I think there are 70 super sponsors this go round and that means tons of AMAZING prizes for participating. Link up your new coffee, tea, and/or cocoa creations over on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog now through May 29 for a chance to win!

So, a I was saying, I dusted off my design software and came up with the Sunshine in a Cup digital set. It's a little bit inspired by this pandemic, and a lot inspired by coffee and sunshine.  For my card I chose the fun "May your coffee be strong and may recess be long" sentiment. After the last couple of months of school at home, I can attest to just how important strong coffee and long recesses are!

I printed out the digi, then colored up the sunny to go cup and fussy cut.  The sentiment is die cut with a stitched die and matted with early espresso.  I went for a tall & skinny layout to play on the word long.  I stamped splatters and rings from the Grunge Elements 2 set in ground espresso distress oxide on a 3.5 x 5.5" card base, then layered it all together.

I have another card featuring this new digi over on the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps blog today. Here's a little peek.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my coffee loving creations!

I hear you about long recesses. My grandies were back at school 4 days when DGD developed another sore throat - needless to say she had to be swabbed for a covid 19 test (it was negative, thankfully) but it turns out another child in the class had a strep throat... My DD is looking forward to sending her back to school tomorrow!
loving your card Julee - the coffee splats look amazing. That is a great coffee cup design, and I love the look of your other card too.
Stay safe
Blessings

Such a cute set. As a teacher, I'm enjoying the time I can spend with my kinders online but I REALLY miss the time we have together.
