We've been having a lot of what I like to call "white rain" lately. You know, the snow that falls white and melts as soon as it hits the ground leaving everything wet and cold? I went to an appointment last night and in the two minute walk from my car to the shop, my hair was SOAKED! So I could totally relate to this little panda and his umbrella. The background is done with the Great Outdoors stencil. This is such a fabulously versatile stencil! I reach for it again and again. I used broken china ink for the stenciling, then blended the top with tumbled glass and the bottom with pumice stone and hickory smoke. The panda is from the I'm Not Fat set, and colored up with zig markers. I added a little crystal clear lacquer pen accents to the umbrella for a glossy look.
The sentiment is from the Grab the Unicorn set. Another fabulous set that I keep reaching for. I especially love this wishing you sunshine & rainbows sentiment. I finished with a yellow card base, some glimmer metallic ink splatters, and a bit of ribbon.
