Wise Men

Hi friends! Today I'm sharing a couple of Christmas cards over on the Sweet 'n Sassy blog.

I've loved the We Three Kings set since it was released. It's so timeless and elegant and I'm so excited to now have it in my Christmas card making arsenal.  This card might just be my most mailable card yet. Almost one layer, can you believe it?

I started by doing a blended background with Distress Oxide inks in evergreen bough, salty ocean and chipped saphire. A little swiping with a baby wipe gave those striations in the sky.  I then embossed the wise men silhouette and the star in white on the blended panel.

Next I free hand cut a little snowy bank and embossed the wise men sentiment in silver. A bit of sponging along the top of the snow bank gives some dimension and I finished off with a simple silver bow.
